Abstract The present work was designed as epidemiological and physiological study to provide a general feature on liver disease and it is association to viral hepatic infection in PortSaid Governorate. The link was studied between the stage of liver disease and liver function tests, as well as, the correlation was also conduced between the oxidative stress and progressive of the disease. On the other hand, the response of patients to treatment with antioxidants was conducted using these markers. Between January and the end of December 2004 , where 70 patients with chronic liver disease, another 20 well known normal persons were selected as control cases. Conclusion : Epidemiological data indicated that the liver disease in PortSaid is closely associated with viral hepatic infection, which is , in turn, closely linked to age and gender. The yield of results in the current study confirms also that different treatment options of CLD in HCV carriers are still problematic. However , the improvement of the liver functions obtained in the patient with camel milk, honey bee and DDB treatment may encourage further extensive studies to investigate and evaluate possible benefits of camel milk , honey bee and DDB as a reliable therapy for CLD in HCV Carriers. |
