Abstract
The present study is mainly dealing with the effect of preinoculation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (isolated from polluted Egyptian soil) on growth and tolerance of broad bean plant treated with different concentrations of some heavy metals and waste water effluents from Talkha for chemical fertlizers factory. Colonization of broad bean plants by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi often stimulated photosynthetic pigments, proteins, nutrient content, acid and alkaline phosphatases. The results presented here concluded that arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi play an important role in reducing the toxicity of higher concentrations of heavy metals and polluted water used for irrigation of broad bean plants through different physiological processes.
