Abstract The present investigation aimed to study the effects of NaCI salinity, growth substances (GA3 and PBZ), Soil infested with Fusarium oxyporum and their interactions on growth, some physiological aspects and yield of soybeans. Moreover, the anatomical structures were examined. For these reasons two experiments were carried out in the green house and laboratories of Tag EI-Ezz Research Station, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt during the two growing seasons of 1999 and 2000. The first experiment aimed to study the effects of NaCI salinity, growth substances (GA3 and PBZ) and their interactions whereas, the second was designed to study the effects of soil infested with F. oxyporum f sp. tracheiphillum and its interactions with NaCI salinity and growth substances (GA3 and PBZ). The most important results are summarized as follows: A: First experiment Effects of NaCI salinity, growth substances (GA3 and PBZ) and their interactions 1. Germination criteria and secdling characters 1.1 Germination criteria 1.1.1 The germination percentage as well as its rate and velocity were decreased with increasing salinity levels from 2000 to 6000 ppm. 1.1.2 Gibberellin at both levels used (100 and 200 ppm) increased germination percentage as well as its rate and velocity during the two growing seasons The high level of GA3 was more effective. |
