Abstract
In this thesis, the total crose-section for the photo-production of a lepton pair in the field of a nucleon is calculated. Chapter one: interoduces a brief survey on the types of interactions. Chapter two: contains a short summary on the theories of weak interactions. Chapter three: presents a history of the electromabnetic interactions and the rules governing these reactions. Chapter four: includes a brief account on the strong interactions and their properties. It also contains a short note about the response of particles to strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions.
