Abstract The aim of the work is to clarify the role of preinfarction angina and CRP concentration on left ventricular function in patients with first attack AMI who undergo successful thrombolytic therapy. The study comprised 100 patients admitted with a first attack AMI to the CCU in Mansoura Emergency Hospital and Medical Specialized Hospital, Mansoura University Patients were classified into two main groups: Group A: Patients with preinfarction angina and Group B: Patients without preinfarction angina. In conclusion, the presence of preinfarctionangina is associated with greater improvement in left ventricular systolic function in patients who have had a reperfused AMI.The beneficial effect of preinfarction angina may be associated with an immunoinflammatory response modified by a brief ischemic episode occurring before myocardial infarction. |
