Abstract Imaging studies are the key stones in the management and treatment planning of patients with soft tissue tumours. The imaging evaluation of soft tissue tumours underwent a dramatic change with the advent of ultrasonography (US) computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Despite these imaging modalities the objectives of critical radiologic evaluation remain unchanged. • In our study we tried to overview the imaging evaluation of soft tissue tumours, in which the advantages and limitations of the various available modalities are highlighted. The study comprised sixteen patients with soft tissue tumours of the extremities, 12 in the lower limb, and 4 in the upper limb. The patients were 9 males and 7 females. Their age ranging from 3-85 years with mean age 39.2 years. All lesions were evaluated by plain x-ray, US, CT and MR.. Angiography was done forZ patients. |
