Abstract
The present aork was carried out on two main groups of children : I. Diseased groue: 19 children with chronic liver disease and clinical portal hypertension (13 male and 6 female ). A. Group (I) : Bilharzial hepatic fibrosis (12 cases). B. Group (11) : Post necrotic cirrhosis (7 cases) II. Normal control groue: 15 normal children with matched age and sex . All cases where subjected to : * Complete history taking. * Complete clinical examination. * Urine and stool analysis. * Complete liver function tests. * Liver biopsy for selected cases. * Uppe gastrointestinal endoscopy. * Abdominal ultrasonography .
