Abstract Preeclampsia is a dangerous disease affecting 7-10% of pregnant women. Multiple theories tried to explain this disease. Endothelial dysfunctions was supposed as many markers of endothelial activation incluing changes in PG balance, VEGF, rennin angiotensin system IGF-l and other factors. Fetal enfothelial cells also supposed to have a role. Nitric oxide role was also investigated, But no exact role was confermed. Genetic factors was also supposed as evidenced by results of studies showed increased incidance of preeclampsia in mother, sisters and daughters of preeclampsia patients. Immunological factors of preeclampsia also were investigated due to association of preeclampsia with immunological disorder. Preeclmapsia causes still unclear and need more studies to reach the cause and find the treatment. |
