Abstract In the present study four compounds were used against eggs, 2nd and 4th instar larvae of Culex pipiens. These compounds were: Insect growth regulators (Flufenoxuron and lufenuron), plant extract (Haplophyllum tuberculatum) and microbial agent (Bacillus sphaericus). In all experiments a control group was used. The present study deals with the following aspects: 1 The toxic effects of flufenoxuron, lufenuron, H. tuberculatum and B. sphaericus against the eggs, 2nd and 4th instar larvae of Cx. pipiens 2 Evaluating the joint action and the synergistic properties of the mixture of the four compounds against Cx. Pipiens. 3 Studying the effect of sublethal concentrations of all compounds on the growth and development eggs, 2nd and 4th instar larvae of Cx. pipiens. 4 Studying the effect of sublethal concentration of the four compounds on the protein fractions of the survived larvae |
