Abstract

Analysis of IgH and TCR gene rearrangement by gene scan technique provides a valuable adjunct to currently available methods (with respect to speed, accuracy, sensitivity and high throughput) for diagnosis of lympho proliferative disorders and its distinction from benign proliferation. The diagnostic value of IgH & TCR gene rearrangement is limited by few number of primers so the increase in the panel of primers sets is directly proportionate to the detection rate of monoclonality. Automated sequencing of VDJ of IgH gene is possible but need intense purification to avoid noisy data. Increase number of primers to include Ig , Ig and TCR in the panel. The use of heteroduplex analysis technique in addition to gene scan. Wide range of patient with different lymphoid neoplasm.
