Abstract Thin films of silicon matrix were prepared using the glowingwires thermal vapor deposition technique. The energy dispersive xray (EDX) analysis was used to determine the chemical composition. The obtained spectrum showed peaks of silicon and oxygen with relative ratio of Si/o = 26.992 / 2.804. we carried out a study on the optical properties of the films using wavelength in the 2001100 nm optical transmittance, T (?), was measured at normal incidence. We have the current voltage characteristics and activation energy were measured. We have constructed a prototype of solar cell and investigated its performances, quality factor, open voltage and efficiency. |
