Abstract

The following basement rocks cover the study area (about 185 Km2) : I- Ophiolitic assemblage 1- Antigorite serpentinite. 2- Metapyroxenite. 3- Metagabbro. 4- Amphibolite. 5- Carbonates. II- Melange 1- Biotite - muscovite schist. 2- Actinolite schist. 3- Quartzo - feldspathic schist. III- Older granitoid ( biotite tonalite). VI- Dokhan volcanics. 1- Andesites. 2- Dacites. V- Molasse (Hammamat) sediments. VI- Younger granites. 1- Biotite - muscovite monzogranite (G. El Sella). 2- Muscovite monzogranite (G. Qash Amir).
