Abstract The present investigation deals with the quantitative and qualitative abundance and distribution of the airborne pollen grains of Mansoura city (Nile Delta region-Egypt) throughout two successive years (1991-1992). A considerable attention has been given to the relationships between the climatic factors and the total pollen count. The present study provides an essential information on the concentration of the pollen grains throughout the hours of the day. This type of study may provide the hospitals in Egypt with accurate information of the most important causative agents responsible for the pollinosis. It can give thorough vibrations of each specific pollen type with the (pollen calendar), a fact that can help the diagnosis of allergy and pollenosis cases. |
