Abstract
The objective of this study is to emphasize physiolagical and biochemical changes in maize and soybean seedlings as influenced by some herbicides. These herbicides are fluometuron, trifluralin, atrazine, alachlor and metalachlor; representing four different herbicidal groups, and are applied at the recommended field dose. Physiological and biochemical studies are carried out on the basis of stress-status indices and the detoxification of the used herbicides.
