Abstract Abstract: This research aims to investigate the effect of Gameful Experience on Online Mobile Gaming Adoption and to examine the mediation role of Psychological Ownership on this relationship in the field of application which is Egyptian private universities students. The thesis adopted the philosophy of positivism, the deductive approach, and quantitative analysis methods as the research methodology. The instrument utilized for data collection was the questionnaire. Consequently, 393 usable questionnaires were collected manually from Egyptian private universities. In addition, smart PLS V.4, path analysis was employed to explore the causal relationships among the research variables.The findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between the research variables dimensions (Gameful Experience, Online Mobile Gaming Adoption, and Psychological Ownership), Gameful Experience has a significant positive effect on Online Mobile Gaming Adoption, and Psychological Ownership has a significant positive effect on Online Mobile Gaming Adoption for Egyptian private universities students. Psychological Ownership significantly mediates the relationship between Gameful Experience and Online Mobile Gaming Adoption. There is no significant difference in the perceptions of the students toward the research variables according to their different demographic variables (gender, geographic area, and nature of study), only years of experience have a significant difference in the perceptions of the students toward the research variables.One of the most important recommendations is that Gameful Experience has motivated and engaged many players to use online game services to play various games. The gamers are satisfied with their intrinsic needs and experience a feeling of enjoyment and pleasure when using the game, which helps in marketing. In addition, this research also has significant practical implications and guidelines for the Universities and theoretical implications for researchers interested in research variables. |
