Abstract

Tartrazine (TRZ) is still one of the most widely used coloring agents in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. Extensive usage of tartrazine in humans leads to multi system disorders in rodents and humans. Argan oil (AO), produced from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania Spinosa), has been shown to have antioxidant properties. Aim of the work: This work was carried out to study the effect of tartrazine on the histological structure of the adrenal cortex of adult male albino rat and the possible protective role of argan oil using light and transmission electron microscopes.
