Abstract This thesis covers the synthesis, chemical reactions, and biological activity of thiazole derivatives. The research focuses on creating novel 2,4-disubstituted 1,3-thiazole compounds, characterized using IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and mass spectrometry. Compounds (5-8) were tested for cytotoxic activity on MCF-7 and normal breast cells, with compound (8) showing potent anti-cancer properties. The synthesis of ethylidene hydrazinyl thiazole derivative (5) involves multiple steps, including reactions with 4-methylacetophenone and thiosemicarbazone. The methods for synthesizing 2,4-disubstituted-1,3-thiazole analogues (6-8) are detailed, confirming their structures chemically. |
