Abstract Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, immune-mediated, inflammatory demyelinating disease of the brain and spinal cord resulting in physical and cognitive impairment in young adults. Despite introducing multiple immuno-modulating drugs for MS, there are still major concerns about possible ways for hindering the progressive degeneration with disease-modifying therapies.
