Abstract
After total hip arthroplasty THA, acute postoperative pain is a common problem affecting recovery, rehabilitation, and ambulation. Appropriate pain management with minimal opioid use is necessary to reduce short and long-term opioid related complications. Multimodal analgesia including opioids, NSAIDs , acetaminophen and regional nerve blocks including continuous lumbar plexus block LPB. 205 and femoral nerve block FNB 206 have been used in THA to reduce pain and opioid. usage.
