Abstract

Construction projects face several challenges in achieving their goals. These include time, cost, and quality, especially given the numerous inputs such as materials, labor, and machinery. Measuring these goals, particularly in terms of cost, is crucial for their integration, making cost reduction a significant aspect of any project. One approach to cost reduction is focusing on avoiding implementation problems and their financial implications.
Various factors contribute to implementation problems in major national projects, including irregular financial flows, inadequate management due to the absence of programs supporting project administrative awareness, financial and administrative instability, deficient control and supervision, unskilled labor, insufficient machinery, untimely arrival of materials, changes in construction conditions, lack of clarity in specifications, insufficient preparation during pre-implementation stages, imposed regulations and laws, and other related issues.
This study aims to enhance the general understanding of factors influencing stakeholders’ adoption of Agile project management strategies in the construction sector.
The findings of this thesis suggest that the Agile methodology is likely to yield significant benefits, particularly through enhanced client engagement. Agile approaches promote increased client involvement in projects compared to current practices, potentially reducing uncertainty and improving risk management. The implementation of time management techniques and regular meetings proves advantageous in monitoring project development and status.
