Abstract Vertical skeletal growth pattern is a very important factor to be considered during orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. Lateral cephalometric x-ray was used to evaluate the vertical skeletal dysplasia using angular and linear conventional parameters, these parameters commonly used but have some limitations either in their constructing points and reference planes or from iatrogenic errors. So, the DR angle was introduced as anew vertical dysplasia indicator as a try to overcome the limitations and drawbacks of the conventional parameters. |
