Abstract The present study was conducted at a private poultry farm under the approval of the Animal Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, Egypt. The institutional ethical rules of Agriculture College - Tanta University (No. AY 2019- 2020/Session 6/2020.01.13) in dealing with animals for scientific purposes were followed during the experiment period. A total of 360 unsexed one-day-old Arbor Acres broiler chicks with an average body weight of 45 ± 3 g were purchased from Cairo Poultry Company. The chicks were randomly assigned to four equal experimental groups of 90 chicks each, with three replicates of 30 chicks per replicate. The first group received the basal diet and served as the control. The second, third, and fourth groups were fed the basal diet supplemented with 0.3%, 0.6%, and 0.9% A. annua, respectively. |
