Abstract The efficient shaping of root canals and maintaining their original anatomy is the main aim of efficient endodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare shaping ability of M3 Pro Gold , M Pro , Pro taper regarding canal curvature, transportation and remaining dentin thickness. Thirty mesiobuccal canals of human lower molars were used in this study and divided into three groups : group 1 M3 Pro Gold , group 2 M Pro, group 3 Pro taper universal. Teeth were mounted in addition silicone mold .allowing accurate positioning before and after preparation. Teeth were scanned using (CBCT) before and after instrumentation. Super imposition of pre and post preparation images was achieved using special software that allows manual and automatic registration of primary and secondary images allowing standardization. The data was tabulated and statistically analyzed using the Paired t-test, ANOVA test and normality test. The results showed significant difference between the three groups regarding angle of curvature where Pro Taper Universal showed less change in angle of curvature than M 3 Pro Gold and M Pro , while regarding canal transportation and remaining dentin thickness ( centering ratio ) M 3 Pro Gold showed less transportation and more conservation of root dentin than Pro Taper Universal and M Pro while M Pro showed highest transportation and least conservation of root dentin . |
