Objectives of the study: The current study aims to identify the following: 1- Differences between the scores of the experimental group members in the pre- and post-measurements on the mindfulness scale. 2- Differences between the scores of the experimental group members in the post- and post-measurements on the mindfulness scale. 3- Differences between the scores of the experimental group members in the pre- and post-measurements on the emotion regulation scale. 4- Differences between the scores of the experimental group members in the post- and post-measurements on the emotion regulation scale. The study sample: The study sample consisted of (20) mothers of children on the autism spectrum. The ages of the mothers ranged between (25-35) years, with an average age of 30.9 years, and a standard deviation of ±4.5, and their educational level ranged between middle school (Two years after the high school diploma and university degree, and all mothers work in administrative professions in public education schools, health centers, and banks. Methodology of the study: The method used to choose the hypotheses for the current study is the quasi-experimental method. Study tools: 1- Mindfulness scale (Badriya Kamal Ahmed, and Iman Mahmoud Muhammad, 2023). 2- Emotion regulation scale (prepared by the researcher). 3- A program based on mindfulness to improve emotional regulation (prepared by the researcher). Results: 1- There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group members in the pre- and post-measurements on the mindfulness scale for mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. 2- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group members in the post and follow-up measurements on the mindfulness scale for mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. 3- There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group members in the pre- and post-measurements on the emotion regulation scale for mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. 1- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group members in the post and follow-up measurements on the emotion regulation scale for mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. The results of the study were interpreted in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies, and the researcher came up with some recommendations and proposed research.
