Abstract

Breast cancer is currently the most commonly diagnosed cancer among females and registers the highest number of deaths for women. The incidence of breast cancer is constantly increasing in all regions of the world despite the progress in its detection and treatment. In Egypt, breast carcinoma comprises the most common of all cancer types in females with higher mortality at an age standardized rate (20.4 per 100, 000) compared to the USA (14.7 per 100,000).
