Abstract

There are variety of conditions that can raise the risk of exposure to hazard in the textile workplace environment. Physical, chemical, and ergonomic elements all play a role in the dyeing sector. There are also several other contributing factors to workplace risks, such as smoking, and inappropriate use of personal protective equipment. The manufacturing, use, storage, transportation, handling and disposal of chemicals has resulted in several occupational problems. Because of lack of appropriate safety measures, the textile dyeing industry may has a negative impact on the health of exposed workers, particularly in developing countries such as Egypt. Therefore, the major and first concern in any medical organization is the workers’ occupational health and the prevention of occupational diseases.
