Abstract
Heritage includes monuments, structures, and areas with various symbolic, historical, artistic, aesthetic, ethnological, scientific, and social significance, according to UNESCO. Urban heritage represents the historical continuity of urbanization, showcasing successful experiences and preserving value over different ages. Addressing heritage issues is crucial for preserving it. Urban rehabilitation policy aims to restore structures to their original function while minimizing intervention and Loss of heritage identity. However, procedural gaps in information, documentation, representation, communication, and resources hinder effective design strategies. New computer applications like 3D modeling and virtualization programs are increasingly used in heritage preservation, and scientific research making efforts to reduce design mistakes, improve innovative solutions, and provide accurate cost estimation, significantly impacting heritage building lifecycle stages.
