Abstract In vitro study aims to assist flexural strength of 4% yttrium zirconia after chewing simulation in different PH using a universal testing machine for flexural assessment and chewing simulating device. Twenty extracted human premolars were collected for study as antagonist material for chewing simulation. Forty samples (N=40) of zirconia specimen were cut by IsoMet from zirconia disc. These forty specimens divided into four groups each group has (n=10). First group (control) is ready for universal test of flexural strength. Second, third and forth groups (n=10) is ready for chewing simulation but in different PH solutions acidic, neutral and alkaline respectively. These solutions are collected from the lab (acidic PH=4 ,alkaline PH=10). After chewing simulation of these groups, the flexural strength was measured for them. |
