Abstract

Reconstructing soft tissue abnormalities of the upper and lower limbs using scapular and parascapular free flaps has various benefits, as we observed in our research.; these could be summarized as follow:In our research, we were able to successfully harvest a skin flap measuring 33 by 12 centimetres, and these flaps may be used to seamlessly blend the appearance of the upper and lower limbs. As the skin on the back is thick and resilient, they also provide long-lasting protection for the body’s weight-bearing regions.
