Abstract

Although the productivity of different kinds of concrete mixing plants varies, there are a few things that may be done to ensure the highest potential product efficiency. This thesis will discuss the variables that impact a concrete mixing plant’s productivity.
In the construction industry, the use of concrete batching plants rather than simple concrete mixers has increased. The productivity of ready-mix concrete is impacted by a variety of factors that affect how concrete batch plants operate. These factors will be discussed and filtered.
The objective of this study is to establish a system for improving productivity and concrete batch plant performance for construction projects. The thesis aims to pinpoint the factors influencing productivity
This project is expected to produce an adaptable model that can be used to gauge and assess productivity and offer suggestions for improving concrete batch plant productivity.
Construction companies might build on the findings of this thesis to increase the productivity of concrete batch plants. The ability of the estimating team to determine productivity accurately will have a substantial impact on the project’s cost, schedule, and performance. The cost and schedule for concrete batch facilities are expected to decrease with the implementation of the model.
A survey was conducted by many business professionals, and the results were gathered and examined using the proposed model.
The Thesis covers the analysis using ANN by SPSS and model development. The creation of the model is discussed. This model was created using data from daily records of an Egyptian concrete batch plant, and two questionnaires answers from the experts.
The questionnaires results were collected, analyzed and the observation was that there are four factors that the experts agreed on their importance in improving the productivity of concrete batch plant.
At the end it’s observed from the SPSS model results that there are only three of the factors that have high impact on the productivity of the concrete batch plant and the forth factor has low impact on the productivity.
The validity of the model was tested using actual values for the inputs of five days daily reports of the concrete batch plant and the output value of the productivity was approximately the same as the actual productivity of the concrete batch plant.
Recommendations for the upcoming research are mentioned in the Conclusion chapter.
