The study aimed to make a proposal to develop institutional performance in Al-Azhar institutes in Sohag governorate by utilizing the results of the theoretical framework and literature review, identify the reality of the institutional performance in Al-Azhar institutes in Sohag governorate through the field study, and determine the effect of developing institutional performance on developing performance, enhancing efficiency, and achieving the competitive advantage. Additionally, it aimed to define the gaps that hinder developing the institutional performance in Al-Azhar institutes in Sohag governorate to determine the requirements for developing institutional performance in these institutes. The study adopted the descriptive approach as the most appropriate to the nature of the study by collecting data relevant to developing institutional performance and six sigma and developing the study tools, including a questionnaire and examining the documents. Then, the questionnaire was applied to a sample of (500) principals, deputies, and teachers at the institutes. After that, the results were discussed. The study concluded that.
The study reached a set of results, including:
Theoretical results: where the study concluded: (that there are many administrative problems facing Al-Azhar institutes and they are within six dimensions “students-teachers-curriculum-buildings-furniture-higher authorities”- that the Six Sigma method aims to improve institutional performance and is based on a better understanding of the requirements for improving Operations throughout the institution - the institutional performance of Al-Azhar institutes can be developed by developing a clear and specific strategic vision for the development of its management at the planning, implementation, improvement and development levels). Including field results: (Human resources are directed towards achieving the objectives of the Al-Azhar Institute to some extent - The Al-Azhar Institute has opportunities to restructure the administrative organization of the institute to some extent - The Al-Azhar Institute has many opportunities to achieve beneficiary satisfaction to the highest possible degree to some extent - The Al-Azhar Institute provides the elements Attracting beneficiaries to participate in solving its problems to some extent - the Al-Azhar Institute provides students with the elements to deal with modern technology within it to some extent - the various procedures and processes at the Al-Azhar Institute are computerized to some extent.)
At the end of the study, the researcher presented a proposed vision for the development of institutional performance in Al-Azhar institutes in Sohag Governorate.
