This aims to test stages and steps of a proposed study model to assess the extent preservation methods in each project have achieved the sustainability aspects required for the commercial space. This part is divided into two chapters, The first is “The Proposed Analytical Study Methodology”, which deals with the objectives of the proposed analytical study, the criteria for selecting the study sample and the monitoring and analysis tools relied upon during the analysis. Thus, the study methodology is proposed, based on evidence and considerations that were clarified by the theoretical study. previous. The second chapter is “Analyzing and Evaluating Traditional Commercial Spaces Preservation Projects”, which deals with how to apply the stages and steps of the proposed model from the first chapter to the selected attempts and their effectiveness in evaluating aspects of sustainable development based on the criteria and systems of sustainability previously mentioned in the previous chapter, which are specialized and in line with the nature of activity within commercial building areas. Part three: this Part deals with the integration between the proposed model of the theoretical study and the activated monitoring tools and mechanisms for achieving sustainability in the process of conserving urban areas in the previous analytical study as a result of the analytical study. To achieve these objectives, the chapter has been divided into two chapters: The first chapter is entitled the proposed field study curriculum which deals with the definition of the study area and the reasons for choosing the city of Tanta as a field study. The second chapter is entitled The proposed study of a sustainable preservation process for Moderiya Street, which deals with the activation model by studying the definition of the study area, an overview of its historical importance and its activities nature; studying the criteria of sustainability’s five aspects; and evaluating its The Impact of urban Preservation process on Commercial public spaces Sustainability xxi effectiveness to achieve the urban sustainability objectives from each role up to the activated points and the points leading to the unsustainability of the area.
