Abstract Pilates exercise helps to improve cardio metabolic risk factors in women patients with metabolic syndrome with the help and assistance of DASH diet that is used to improve hypertension. Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of pilates exercises on cardio metabolic risk factors in women patients with metabolic syndrome. Subject and Methods: Sixty obese adult women participated in the study with age ranged from 45 to 55 years old, they were randomly recruited from Elkalioubia governorate from outpatient clinics of internal medicine. They were referred by the physician of internal medicine. They were randomly assigned into 2 equal groups. group A consisted of 30 patients who received pilates exercise 3 times per week, 60 minutes for each session with 3 sets per each session, DASH diet, and their medical treatment for twelve successive weeks.group B consisted of 30 patients who received DASH diet and their medical treatment for hypertension and diabetes for twelve successive weeks. Blood analysis for (Fasting bloog sugar, Post prandial blood sugar,Glycosylated hemoglobin,Total cholesterol, Low density lipoprotein, High density lipoprotein, and Triglycerides) and Borg scale were measured before and after 12 weeks of training. |
