Abstract This study aimed to compare the prevalence of fecal carriage enterobacteriaceae family members producing EBLs enzymes. samples collected over the period from February 2011 to May 2012 in the botany department, Faculty of science. Cairo university and main laboratory of clinical pathology, in Kasr Alainy hospital, Cairo university. 100 clinical samples from hospitalized patients and 60 from non - hospitalized patients from the out clinics. 57% of the isolates was E.coli, 39% was klebsiella spp and 4% for enterobacter spp. The prevalent gene was founded CTX - M, TEM, SHV consequently and OXA was not found in any sample. The most affected age is from 15 - 30 years |
