Abstract Background: The current study was carried out to evaluate the deference between ultraviolet radiation and chamomile phonophoresis in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Results: The results showed that there was significant decrease in acne counts in chamomile phonophoresis group compared to the ultraviolet group. In relation to IGA and photographic method, the study revealed that the results obtained in group A (study group) were superior to that of group B (control group). Conclusion: It was concluded that chamomile phonophoresis was effective in controlling of acne vulgaris lesions more than ultraviolet radiation in expression of decreasing number of acne lesions and improving the appearance. |
