Abstract This dissertation proposes a new design methodology for low-power Rotary Traveling Wave Oscillators (RTWO). This methodology is verified using the design for an RTWO targeting biomedical imaging applications. A new parasitic oscillation modes rejection technique was implemented in this RTWO. In addition, tuned output buffers are used to buffer the oscillator output and provide enough load isolation. A new transmission-line-based matching technique was used to give more gain to the cascode-based buffers used |
