The current study aimed at revealing the most important future careers required by the labor market in the light of the cultural requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and identifying the role of university education in preparing students for those careers, the theoretical foundations of the fourth industrial revolution in university education institutions the most important cultural requirements, and the most important obstacles of preparing university students for future careers in light of the cultural requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The study used the descriptive method and the future studies method due to their suitability to the nature of the study. The study tool was prepared using (Delphi method) and its rounds were applied to a group of experts from Sohag University professors in different faculties and workers in the field of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, and the first round was applied to (74) experts, and the second round was applied to (72) experts, and statistical treatment was done using the (SPSS) program.
The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The future careers for which university education students are required to be prepared for are technological professions as they are the professions that will be in demand in the future in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. University education faces a number of obstacles that hinder preparing students for future careers. This requires the availability of a set of cultural requirements for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the most important of which are building scientific concepts related to the fourth industrial revolution among students, providing them with information, knowledge and technological skills related to future careers, and developing faculty members’ awareness of the importance of using modern technology within the educational process, respect and protection of intellectual property for creative and innovative students within the university, and the development of an ethical charter for users of the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution within the university.
