Abstract
Aim: Preparation of microemulsions loaded with Curcumin (ME-CR) to inhibit UV damage in a rat epidermal skin model.
Materials and Methods: ME-CR were prepared and characterized by measuring their absorption spectrum, transmission electron microscope (TEM) and size distribution. Photo protective and antioxidant potential of ME-CR was evaluated by FT-IR spectral analysis, the levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), malondialdehyde (MDA) and histopathological examination of the skin.
