Abstract This study set out to provide support for two major objectives to be measured in a field environment rather than in a laboratory setting. The first objective was to provide support for the theories and premises that positive and supportive leader behavior produces a definitive and direct impact on the team. The second objective was to provide support for the premise that teams were more effective (potency), when control was shared with the team than when it was retained by the leader. Support was found for the first and second hypothesis. Study results could provide positive support for a participative style of leadership. A strong correlation was identified between Leader behavior, Organizational behavior& Team member variables and Team Outcome. This thesis covers an example of the railway sector which is a very important sector in transport business. And basically, aiming to give a guidance and support for organizations, managers, and leaders wish to implement teams in their organization. The findings should provide guidelines for activities that precede a team and activities required to mature and support teams during the execution of their tasks. The study should also identify methods and processes that provide for the development of personnel to take on larger challenges within the organization and increase their self-worth. |
