Abstract

The present study aims to clarify the extent of phosphorus fertilzers addition the possible influence
of uranium and cadmium accumulah on soil, plant and water in Egypt and Tunisia. Also, to study the
effect of uranium and cadmium elements and organic matter amendment levels on olive plant growth
and characters.
Soil (barren and cultivated) water (irrigation and drainage) and plant samples were collected from
several locations of Rosetta Estuary area, mainly the two eastern and western sides in Egypt .
Soil, water and plant samples were analyzed for their contents of N, P,K, Fe, uranium and cadmium
.The equivalent uranium and potassium radioactivity a well as cadmium accumulation in both barren
and cultivated soil samples.
In addition, two greenhouse pot experiments were conducted to evaluate the roles of uranium and
cadmium under some environmental conditions during the summer season of the year 2016.
