First: The problem of study
It is agreed that terrorism poses a threat against humanity, as the spring revolutions brought many achievements at the political level, but they posed a package of problems and challenges at the security level as a result of the spread of terrorist groups
Terrorism is an ancient phenomenon known by the history of mankind since a long time if its historical roots extend to prehistoric times, but it has become in our modern era a threat to the security of peoples all over the world, in primitive societies where the state was not known in its current form, it was just compromising respect for the leader of the group punishable by death, and the Islamic Sharia portrayed terrorism and developed the first integrated legislation for terrorist crimes.
The reasons that led to the emergence of terrorism in Egypt also varied, as did the factors that helped the spread of that phenomenon, and all of them point the finger at the political, economic, social, religious and security conditions as well, and all of them also united to paint the undesirable image of the Egyptian citizen drowning in that quagmire called terrorism, this image is entitled ”The citizen is a victim of terrorism.
Second: The importance of the study:
The current study derives its importance from the following:
1- The importance of the family in the stability and cohesion of society, considering that the family is the smallest integrated cell in society, and it affects its composition and determines its trends.
2- The size of the increasing psychological, social and economic effects resulting from the loss and death of one of the family members and their impact on the rest of its members.
3- The importance of social support with its various sources and different patterns in supporting families that are exposed to crises, especially ”families of martyrs victims of terrorist operations” in order to become more able to face the various pressures they are exposed to.
4- The scarcity of studies that dealt with social support targeting the families of martyrs and victims of terrorist operations.
Third: Objectives of the study:
The main goal:
1- Determining the life pressures that martyrs, victims of terrorist operations, are exposed to.
Several sub-objectives stem from this main objective:
a. Determining the social pressures facing the families of martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations.
B- Determining the economic pressures facing the families of martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations.
c. Determine the pressures that victims of terrorist operations are exposed to.
D. Determine the pressures facing the health problems facing the martyrs
The second goal:
2- Finding a proposed role for social support in facing the life pressures of the families of martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations.
Fourth: Study Questions:
The first main question: What are the life pressures faced by the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
Several sub-questions emerge from this main question:
a. What are the social pressures faced by the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
B. What are the economic pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
c. What are the psychological pressures faced by the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
D. What are the health pressures faced by the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
The second main question: What is the proposed role of social support in facing the life pressures of the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?

Sixth: Methodological procedures of the study
1- Type of study:
This study belongs to the descriptive study as it is concerned with identifying life pressures and identifying the problems facing the families of martyrs victims of terrorist operations and the role of social support in all its forms in facing these pressures
2- Methodology used:
Social survey with a sample of social workers and families who frequent the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured in Maadi
3- Fields of study:
A. Spatial Domain:
The spatial field of the current study is determined by the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured
This is due to the following reasons:
1- The National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured includes the largest number of civilian martyrs at the level of the governorates of the Republic
2- The approval of the Secretary General of the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured on the application of the study in the Council
3- The approval of the social workers working in the Council to apply the study in it
4- Welcoming by managers, specialists and employees of the Council and cooperating with the researcher in addition to their desire to obtain the proposals reached by the results of the study to be taken into account.
b)Human domain:
The human field is represented in a sample of the families of civilian martyrs and victims of terrorist operations frequenting the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured, whose number is about (950) martyrs at the level of governorates within the Arab Republic of Egypt in the period 2011 to 2014 and the study was applied to a sample of (152) families of martyrs, and a sample of social workers working in the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Injured, and their number (9)
c) Time range: the time of conducting the theoretical and field study
4- Study Tools:
Data collection tools:
a. A questionnaire on ”determining the life pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs, victims of terrorist operations”, applied to the families of martyrs.
B. An interview guide entitled ”Determining the Life Stresses Facing the Families of Civilian Martyrs Victims of Terrorist Operations”, applied to social workers in the National Council for the Care of Martyrs’ Families.
Seventh: General results of the study
1- Determining the life pressures of the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations.
The results were related to answering the main question, which is: What are the life pressures faced by the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
The main question of the study was answered by answering the following sub-questions:
2- The results associated with answering the first sub-question: What are the social pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs victims of terrorist operations?
It turned out that the responses of the sample study came at a high level, and this indicates that (the social pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs victims of terrorist operations)
It was determined by a large percentage, as the highest approval statements came in the first place arranged as follows:
1- I quarrel with my family members for the most trivial reasons.
2- Frequent disputes and problems between family members and each other
While the least agreed statements came in the last order, which are as follows:
1- I find it difficult to go with my relatives for entertainment
2- I think a lot about the social problems that face me
3- The results associated with answering the second sub-question: What are the economic pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
It turned out that the responses of the sample study came at a high level, and this indicates that (the economic pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs victims of terrorist operations)
It was determined by a large percentage, as the highest approval statements came in the first place arranged as follows:
1- I work to achieve a high standard of living for me and my family.
2- My economic situation is no different now than I was before the martyrdom of the martyr.
3- I find someone to lend me when I need money.
While the least agreed statements came in the last order, which are as follows:
1- The Foundation provides me with small loans that meet the needs of my family.
2- My expenses are bigger than my income after the death of the martyr.
3- The financial aid I receive avoids asking for aid from anyone.
4- The results related to the answer to the third sub-question, which is: What are the psychological pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
It turned out that the responses of the sample study came at a high level, and this indicates that (the psychological pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs victims of terrorist operations)
It was determined by a large percentage, as the highest approval statements came in the first place arranged as follows:
1- Feel that I am the center of attention of others.
2- Feel a sudden fear for no reason.
3- Sometimes I have nightmares about the event.
While the least agreed statements came in the last order, which are as follows:
1- I remember a lot the attitudes that unite me with the martyr.
2- It is not acceptable for one of the family members to be happy after the recovery of a member of its family.
3- I will not do the usual ceremonies and sweets on holidays and occasions since his martyrdom.
5- The results related to the answer to the fourth sub-question: What are the health pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs who are victims of terrorist operations?
It turned out that the responses of the sample of the study came at a high level, and this indicates that (the health pressures facing the families of civilian martyrs victims of terrorist operations)
It was determined by a large percentage, as the most agreed statements came in the first place as follows:
1- I resort to taking sedative drugs until I become addicted.
2- The Foundation follows up the health status of my family members.
3- The institution provides appropriate treatment through health insurance.
While the least agreed statements came in the last order, which are as follows:
1- I feel pain in the abdomen when I remember the martyr.
2- I feel that my costume has been lacking since the death of the martyr.
3- chronic diseases such as (pressure and sugar) have appeared since the death of the martyr
