Abstract Background: Among musculoskeletal complaints, chronic mechanical low back pain is the most common; exercise therapy is commonly prescribed as the treatment of choice for chronic mechanical low back pain. There are several approaches of therapeutic exercises available as core stability exercises and functional training exercises or movement control exercises. Purposes: To evaluate the effectiveness of two therapeutic exercise approaches: core stability exercises and functional training exercises, to determine which type is superior in its efficacy in reducing low back pain severity and back functional disability. |
