This study sheds light on some of the forms of administrative corruption in ancient Egypt since the beginning of the New Kingdom until the end of the Thirtieth Dynasty, given its clear impact in the history of its ancient society on the economic and social situation of individuals. The study is divided into an introduction, a preface, and four chapters, as follows:
The first chapter: ”Words and Expressions Indicating Administrative Corruption” deals with the words and expressions used by the ancient Egyptian in the texts of the period under study to express the manifestations and types of administrative corruption, as well as the penalties related to these various crimes.
Chapter Two: ”Factors of the Spread of Administrative Corruption”, and relates to the analysis of the causes and factors that caused administrative corruption, including political, economic, administrative and social factors.
Chapter Three: ”Manifestations of Administrative Corruption Through Texts and Sources” It contains texts that recorded various manifestations of administrative corruption in the period under study, such as bribery, embezzlement, forgery, theft of state funds, abuse of position, and nepotism.
Chapter Four: “Means of Confronting Administrative Corruption”, and deals with the ways in which kings in ancient Egypt tried to deter criminals and corrupt people and prevent or limit their crimes, through royal decrees and divine revelation decrees, and inspection campaigns on government account departments and state stores, and instructions directed to priests and employees, And the various types of punishments, which ranged from imprisonment, flogging, and execution, according to the type of crime and its degree of seriousness.
The study ends with a conclusion in which the researcher presents the most important results she has reached through studying this topic, followed by the lists of references and the illustrations appendix.
