The study aims to identify the features and dimensions of the image that presented by American movies about pharaonic civilization of Egypt and history of its kings and queens, as well as to identify the relation between this image and the trends of American foreign policy, The researcher used the survey method based on the discourse analysis approach, She confined her study to American fiction movies whose subjects dealt with the dimensions of the ancient Egyptian civilization during the 21st century, There were 8 of such movies between 2001 and 2017, The study reached a set of result, including:
Presenting a negative image of ancient Egyptian civilization; All the films in the sample, except of one movie (Gods of Egypt), emphasized that the Pharaonic civilization was not a sublime civilization based on justice, giving and dedication to work, but rather was based on evil, injustice and tyranny. All the achievements of the ancient Egyptians and their leadership in several fields such as medicine and chemistry can’t be compared with the crimes against humanity.
The ancient Egyptians relied on magic to achieve victories, glories and to preserve their possessions as well as the safety of their bodies. They were characterized by many negative traits such as violence, hatred, narcissism, foolishness, lies, and betrayal, they were more inclined towards evil than good.
Highlighting the negative role played by religious life in the history of ancient Egypt; Gods were violent and bloody helping kings to commit sin, High priests were known for betrayal and lies.
