This thesis deals with an analytical study of some drugs that affect the gastro-intestinal system, namely, pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, itopride hydrochloride and domperidone. The aim of this work is to develop different analytical methods which are characterized by simplicity, accuracy and appropriate degree of sensitivity for the analysis of the studied drugs in their powdered form, laboratory prepared mixtures and in their pharmaceutical dosage form. This thesis contains three parts in addition to the references and summaries in Arabic and English; Part I: General introduction and literature review Part II: Simultaneous determination of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate and itopride hydrochloride by spectrophotometric, chemometric, thin layer chromatographic-spectrodensitometric, high performance liquid chromatographic and electrochemical methods Part III: Simultaneous determination of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate and domperidone by spectrophotometric, thin layer chromatographic- spectrodensitometric and high performance liquid chromatographic methods This thesis also contains 71 tables, 72 figures and 351 references
