Abstract
Background: Hypothyroidism can lead to a decrease in cardiac output, an
increase in systemic vascular resistance, lower arterial compliance, impaired
cardiac muscle relaxation, decreased heart rate, and decreased stroke
volume contributed to heart failure.
Aim: Is to demonstrate ventricular function changes in patients with
congenital hypothyroidism and investigate the effects of L-T4 substitution
therapy using M-mode echocardiography, tissue doppler imaging (TDI) and
electrocardiography (ECG). Also to detect the role of ultrasound in
congenital hypothyroidism diagnosis
