Abstract Conclusion: We found that single-bone fixation is superior to both-bone fixation. This is because single-bone fixation has shorter operation time and shorter union time. Background: Forearm fractures are the commonest type of fractures in children. Surgical intervention is used widely nowadays. Intramedullary (IM) nailing and plate fixation with screws represent established surgical management of mid-shaft forearm fractures and are well known to be potent methods in treating pediatric midshaft forearm fractures. We aim at getting the best treatment modality of children’s forearm fractures. We use the comparison between single-bone fixation and both-bone fixation to get to which is better by meta-analysis. |
