In the light of the importance of including the environmental dimension to understand the major reasons for conflicts and try to sustainably settle them, addressing the Effectsof climate change is prioritized by the national, regional as well as the international settlement initiatives. There is a significance of the role of the global and the non-political factors which initiate internal conflicts in East Africa. The global and non-political phenomenon of climate change comes on the top list of the internal conflicts’ causes. It proves its Effect on heightening a number of internal conflicts, initiating new ones and complicating the settlement of the internal conflicts in East Africa.
