المستخلص The current study aims to reveal the relationship between marital problems and marital distress, the relationship between attribution style and marital distress, as well as the relationship between coping strategies with family stress and marital distress. it also aims to reveal the role of attribution style and family coping strategies in moderating the relationship between the marital problems and marital distress, the differences between wives with low distress and wives with high-distress in both attribution styles , coping strategies for family stress and marital problems. the current study is based on the correlational descriptive method. the basic study sample consisted of 100 married kuwaiti women, aged 25-45, with a mean of 34.69, and a standard deviation of 6.78, obtained from the various governorates of the state of kuwait. the marital distress scale (amira amin sayed), marital problems scale, prepared by the researcher, and scale of casual attribution in marital relationships (fincham & bradbury, 1992, translated by: Shaima Ezzat Pasha), family coping strategies scale, prepared by the researcher, were applied to them. this study concluded the following results:- there is a positive relationship between the total degree of marital problems and the majority of their subcomponents and the total degree of marital distress and all of its subcomponents. - there is a positive relationship between the total degree of marital distress and all of its subcomponents, emotion-focused strategies, that’s |
