Abstract This study involved reviewing the chest MSCT results of 223 cases which were referred to the Radiology department of Kasr Al-Ainy. from which, 149 cases (66.8 %) showed normal pulmonary veins or anatomical variants, 27 cases (12.1%) showed congenital anomalies, 46 cases (20.6%) showed acquired abnormalities, and 1 case (0.4%) showed both congenital and acquired abnormalities. ECG-cardiac gating was not required for the MSCT evaluation of pulmonary veins, and all information regarding the pulmonary veins ostia and drainage patterns were gathered from the axial and MPR images, without the need for 3D reconstructed images |
